A manual information management system is bad; An inconsistent electronic information management system is worse!

Today, there is reimbursement arrangement prevalent in healthcare industry. Its reasons are rooted in the economic setup and cultural background of the societies. Stakeholders of low scale health care providers do not intend to invest in effective though expensive for them: information management system. The reason is there is little expectation of incentive from the effective information management system, unless it contributes in generating revenue or immediate lucrative outcomes.
One of the reasons of poor information management system in healthcare industry attributes to not ‘non-existent- information system’ but a highly inconsistent and redundant information management system. In a survey it has been known that in most of the complaints are laid on the poor technological information management system, which is in severe need of re-engineering.
Healthcare providers need to assure few condition before setting up an emr software system:
  • ·         It is the users of the technology who should be asked about the desirable technology, not just the clinicians, nor alone the patients and staff, but complete user guide from all the stakeholders.
  • Cloudpital provides effective emr software system, which is designed to meet the demands of different stakeholders, from e-clinic to staff, doctors and the organization itself can employ and effectively manage the regular information.
  • ·         The electronic medical record system should be having an integrated application so it can be compatible with other systems. It should be integrated with every department instead of inefficient data inventory of radiology and cardiology centrally and redundant.
  • ·         The records are patient based or transaction based, i.e. one patient exited from one department get test from another health department within an organization, in this way, the billing policy may produce inefficient hemorrhage of money and loss on the part of organization. For users it may become a tiring strenuous task to open and close several records of one entity from different departments.
  • The cloudpital gives the electronic medical records with enhanced billing policies and administration. The scheduling and robust information keeping system of patients with data mobility across departments within the organizations gives the most cost-effective solution for the healthcare industry.
  • The projected EMR (electronic medical record system) demands excessive documentation, if so then this leaves the organizations with a burden of excessive workforce i.e. assistants and technical staff.
  • The technology should lead to paper and administration reduction but contrary to the fact, quantitative survey shows that doctors get more administrative work with the emr software.
  • The diagnostic data, previous health record and current lab results, along with the information of patients’ vital, all these information collectively produce tons of data which need a highly quick analytic inventory, but in poor electronic medical records, poor field storage and redundancies leads to worst anomalies.
Cloudpital gives user friendly interface and interactive platform to provide an easy access to all stakeholders. The organizations should not compensate their needs with the outdated and inconsistent data software management systems, instead should employ hospital software to endure effective solutions in limited resources.
